NETWORK CHANGES AND UPDATES
In an ongoing effort to make feedmonster for WordPress even better we are about to change the way we move datafeeds accros the networks.

Changes in existing networks
The tradetracker affiliate network is currently still divided into country specific networks. To benefit from the entire tradetracker network our users would have to go PREMIUM on various networks. In a few days all tradetracker networks will be bundled into one large Tradetracker network that contains all of TT’s feeds.
This means that any existing feedmonster jobs using tradetracker will temporarily halt and need to be reset using the new larger tradetracker net. All existing product pages using tradetracker will now start using the new and larger tradetracker net.

Less cost to join this network as PREMIUM member, more choices !

New network candidates
Besides changes in existing networks we also include new networks per request. A recent request pertained to an australian network called commissionfactory. We are currently looking in to this network. If we add this network it will automatically start showing up in your network list on the first page in your feed-monster admin panel.

New networks can be requested through our forum at http://portaljumper.com

Networks set for removal
While talks are still underway there is a good chance we are going to drop the affili.net networks from our services. Affili.net as a true german network is suffering from very restrictive laws that are currently in the works surrounding german webshops. We choose not to restrict services for our users and may therefore reject affili.net in the future.

Using feedback on your marketing strategy is crucial if you want to make a decent income with affiliate marketing. Naturally tools like google’s analytics and other plugins or add-on’s are part of your basic strategy, but to help you along in your marketing we have started incorporating marketing effectiveness gauges in our plugins starting Jan. 2012. If you come across one of our gauges you’ll know that it ties directly in to the core function of your plugin so you’ll get instant feedback on what works and what doesn’t without having to sign up for yet another tracking service, or install yet another cpu-consuming analytics tool.

Our effectiveness gauges can easily be recognized and will, over time, help you to steer toward success. Now go see if you can get that needle in the zone ….

Are you old enough to remember the days of boring and complex spreadsheets ? Row after after row of endless fields with numbers and codes that don’t seem to mean a thing ….. Oh how we have evolved since then !

Believe it or not, but not much has changed since the age of black and white tables filled with data. Sure, the looks have improved on the front-end but deep inside almost every shopping page, every weather channel, every travel website and every content site runs on datafeeds. You may call them productfeeds, RSS feeds, XML data or whatever other name you can come up with, but the essence remains the same. Without a constant stream of date all these sites would grind to a halt or become seriously outdated in a matter of days.

If you control the feed you control the market, and at portaljumper.com we’re all about showing you how to convert, manipulate, create or rebuild this data so it becomes a powerful tool for you to generate more traffic, more income, or more content.

Lesson 1: (the only lesson) – Don’t use datafeeds !

That’s right … we’re telling you not to use them !

Why ? you may ask …… Well …. because everyone else already uses them too ! While datafeeds are a great tool to transport information and display data, it is usually also less than unique, and as we all know, in order to be successful on the internet, you want to offer unique content. We highly discourage you to use content datafeeds the way they are presented to you. The data first has to be molded, shifted, polished, converted, scrambled, combined, separated and re-categorized just to name a few. Use good tools to provide constant streams of uniquely combined content, narrow your focus and keep your success formula to yourself.

While you do that, we will throw our trade secrets on the table, we’ll show you how to work the feeds, we’ll provide you with all our tools and we’ll show you how to get 90% done in 5 % of the time. It’s in the last 10 % where you are going to be different and where you are going to create your own corner of the market.

Merely as a little motivator we will close for now with 2 example sites that we built as test-cases for our users. Keep in mind that both of these sites use the same datafeeds at their core, yet they are completely different and unique in every aspect simply because we manipulated the datafeeds.

http://bibishoes.nl - a very simple shoe-site running on auto-pilot (fed by linksalt)

http://m4nshop.nl – using the exact same data (fed by linksalt)

As developers we’ve been busy for years developing tools, plugins, scripts and websites based on datafeeds and income potential. We’ve created many great products but they were all scattered across the internet. We knew that our users would greatly benefit from combining our products on their websites to generate even more cashflow and to attract more visitors or get better SEO.

Portaljumper.com was always intended to become the starting point for all our users so they also knew about the other free tools we offer, and so they have one central place to get more info. For a while portaljumper simply gave home to feedmonster for wordpress, but as of the time this post came to be, we are moving back to the initial plan to make portaljumper the hub for all your datafeed related tools, but also to interact with the team and other users that may face the same challenges you have (had).

At any rate, we welcome you to our new datafeed portal and hope to meet you again soon in one of our forums or comment sections.
